Beach Seining, Ferry Terminal or Tyee Spit |

Setting a beach seine along the shoreline provides some insight into the diversity and importance of the habitats preferred by the recent outmigrating juvenile salmonids, as well as a myriad of other plant and animal inhabitants. The beach seine will be set using a jet boat and crew, and the net brought into shore so participants (if you have gumboots or waders you can help) can observe the catch and see all the interesting critters that abound our local waters. |
